The walled garden at LoustalNeuf
is a suntrap; it faces due South with wonderful views from the shaded barbecue
and dining area over green foothills towards the Pyrenees.
Inside, we’ve
exposed some of the original internal stonework, so that you can look at, and
touch, and feel a century and a half of history; we’ve also created bigger rooms and raised the ceilings to reveal
the massive roof beams, and to ensure spacious, airy
comfort for four or five people, with:
A walled garden with shaded outdoor
dining/barbecue area;
Large (11 metres x 5 metres) open-plan sitting,
dining and kitchen area;
A sensitive blend of modern furniture for
functionality, and hand-picked traditional Languedoc, Cathar
and Catalan pieces to add style and atmosphere;
Fully equipped modern kitchen with dishwasher,
fridge/freezer, microwave, double sink, electric oven, gas hob and washing
machine;
Traditional light terracotta ceramic flooring
throughout;
One
bedroom with three single beds (3rd bed not shown in photo above), 3 metres by 5 metres, with en-suite bathroom and
wc (a fourth, folding bed can be made available in this bedroom, so the house can sleep up to 6);
One double bedroom, 3˝ metres by 5 metres with
en-suite shower room and wc;
Underfloor central
heating and a log-burning stove to take the chill off spring and autumn
evenings;
Separate downstairs wc;
Satellite TV, and DVD player.
